DOORS 91 thinclient on Win Xp

Hi friends,
I am trying to do the thinclient installation for my clients who work on XP machine( SP2 ) with DOORS version being 9.1

Problem is as described.
-> Script written to create DOORS 91 icon and registry entries created that holds server information -> port id and data location, license, Home.
-> The "Target" in the link icon ( Rt click -> properties -> Target ) is set to $Home/bin/DOORS91.exe.

The script fails to initialise ! ( XP problem ??? )
But the same works like a charm on Win 2000.

Has anybody got a solution for this ?

Regards,
Shyam

I'm thinking it's because the target should be doors.exe, not doors91.exe.

Also, why go through the hassle of setting registry entries? Why not just create an icon and tell people to use it?

Thanks for the reply.
It is DOORS.exe indeed.
We have registry entries to look up for the addins from a seperate folder. This is based on different work domains that we have.
Even if the icon is created, I bet it should call the exe from the DOORS bin !
Can you please throw some more light over this.
Thank you.

I know you think you are being specific, but you are not being specific enough for anyone who isn't able to look at your computer, network, code, and DOORS Icon to figure this out.

I figured out that DOORS 91 requires MS VC++ SP1 to be installed.
This is packaged along with the full client installer.
Thanks for the post.
